Bond them

            Look for good old fashioned bonding companies to provide skepticism when funding a Bonded Promises Pledge for either candidates of incumbents.  Go to the list of issues candidates, especially Federal, need to be held accountable for.  Check them out carefully.    We strongly suggest you use the entire list. 

           If you have questions contact us.  We are assembling a group of of business people we can trust. We will list the bonding companies here which are willing to participate so you can let your local political hopefuls know. 

           Every candidate must agree to be bonded.          

            Your job is to let them know you mean it.  Hold debates.  Make sure you video and tape them when they are out talking.  It is amazing how much the standard speech can change, depending on the audience. 

            The candidates are applying for a job.  You are the boss. They want to work for you.  Get them to sign on the dotted line.  Let them know about the interesting and innovative ways you can inform voters when they waffle. Learn from what we did during the Ron Paul Revolution, the Tea Party Movement,  and from other efforts.  We will provide information here. 

           When a Honesty Bond candidate is elected increase monitoring and be prepared to call them on any deviation from the Pledge.  This will keep them honest. 

           Tell everyone what you are doing.  We will publish news from the front of your own area to everyone, so sign up.  We will learn from each other as we enact transparency and accountability locally.

Action Agenda 

Start a local group for your Congressional District, building local coalition.  You will need to do some fundraising, but not much.  You are not donating to candidates, just paying for a website and to get the information to voters.

       Build a District emailing list. Include all precinct chairmen and all members of political parties.  You will be sending them information on the ISSUES, with your own input on how these measures will impact your district.  Send your 'enewsletter' to all community groups.  We will provide materials you can use.  

      Lay out a flyer, business card or post card you can hand out to local businesspeople.

      Draw from community groups who are concerned, and others including: Tea Party Activists, antiwar activists, environmentalists, the groups and issues are endless. 

Familiarize your self with Bonded Promises. 

      Materials on each issue is being made available.

      Prepare your local materials, including putting up a website.

     Do media releases at each point including:

      When you organize the committee.

       For your own elections to your board, for the Bonded Promises. 

       As you communicate with candidates and receive responses. 

      Publish all responses to media in the district and on your website. 

      Congratulate candidates on their campaign.  Then send them the Honesty Bond Demand Letter. (This can be polite but to the point.)

      Publish their responses to all local media.

     Track their donors. Send donors a a copy of the demand letter. 

      "We are just asking for honesty. Can you deliver?"  

Note on the Media.

       You need the media to get at least three releases before they notice you.  Call them, introduce yourself.  Keep sending media releases.  Keep notes on who you talk to, what is said, information they share with you, if any.

        You want to become an ongoing story which provides news releases they can run with little or no changes.  The media like it when you make it easy for them.
